Alcohol Outreach Worker
Location: Morecambe
Hours: 37.5 hrs per week
Payscale: £23,400 - £27,500 per annum

As an Assertive Alcohol Outreach Worker, you will have a specific remit to work in hospitals, clinics, online and community settings to deliver Psychosocial Interventions (Psi’s) and provide a live connection between local communities, asset-based and health and well-being opportunities and treatment services. You will work as part of the wider Well team to open up opportunities and widen access beyond treatment services. You will work to develop relationships with voluntary and community groups, and partner agencies, scoping and identifying underserved areas and will have a specific remit to work with communities in an asset-based manner.
You will also support those accessing and leaving treatment services to promote positive behaviour change, influence individuals and communities to make healthier lifestyle choices, develop self-care & management skills, build individual’s recovery capital and mobilise communities to become more resilient and self-sufficient.
This is a key role which will increase the number of people from within the community who at present, do not access interventions from treatment services, supporting them to engage in positive behaviour change, engaging in opportunities that will increase wellbeing, resilience and the ability to self-care.

You will work closely with The Well Communities Grow Your Own Westmorland and Furness Team Leader, partner organisations, local councils, clinicians, social enterprises, and training providers to develop TWC service reach, whilst supporting TWC WAF Operational Manager to accurately report back impact data, contract monitoring/performance and development opportunities.
You'll assist in creating innovative projects that prioritise public health, encourage a culture of continuous improvement, and support learning. Your role will involve working collaboratively to promote asset-based approaches, visible progress, and positive behaviour modelling, all in line with our core organizational values.
You will be required to work flexibly across operational sites within an agreed number of hours to maintain the most appropriate level of service provision.

As a 12-step Behavioural Change Facilitator/ Supported Housing Colleague, you will have a specific remit to work with an identified cohort of service users with multiple, complex needs. Under the leadership of the Tenancy Sustainment Manager, you will assist in the provision of effective, high-quality intensive housing management and support services to vulnerable individuals with little social or recovery capital.
The cohort includes individuals with additional support needs including offending behaviour, domestic violence, substance misuse and mental ill health, making them vulnerable to homelessness. Supporting individuals in assessing their needs to identify opportunities to engage them creatively and actively with support to facilitate the practical skills, personal growth and development necessary to live independently.
A 12-step recovery program will form a key part of a holistic approach to recovery and wellbeing and the experience of participation in such models of recovery is essential to this post.

Volunteer Van Drivers

We are looking for a volunteer/s who can help assist our community members to access the gym, take members to the Saturday hub in Lancaster and do our food collection from FareShare in Preston on Friday mornings. If you like variety and want to meet new people, this could be the role for you! Our community relies on our volunteers to keep them running successfully. But one thing that never changes is that we need volunteers to help us to spread the power of kindness.
Duties include:
Weekly Friday collection of food from Fareshare, Preston - Helping load and unload items for delivery (including bulky items) in line with our health and safety guidelines. This enables us to run our weekly food club for the community.
2-3 times a week (1.5hrs) – Transporting residents to local Salt Aye Gym, returning to the hub.Saturday – Transporting residents to our hub in Lancaster and collection, returning to the hub in Morecambe.

Requirements:
