    Hours: Full-time. Some evening or weekend work may be required

    Payscale: £25,168-£28,600

    Accountable to: : Operations Manager / Senior

    The Through the Gate Support Worker will provide resettlement support to individuals preparing for release from prison and during their transition back into the community. The role is designed to reduce the risk of reoffending by addressing resettlement needs, building independence and improving engagement with statutory and community services.

  • Location: Barrow

    Hours: 15 hours per week

    Payscale: £24,570 - £27,316 per annum pro rata

    Accountable to: Tenancy Sustainment Manager

    The role will be to engage with residents who may have multiple or complex needs, to increase their recovery capital and work to remove any other barriers to maintaining a tenancy independently.  The post-holder will contribute to a multi-agency approach by working together with other agencies to ensure that individuals consistently receive the services they require to empower, educate and support in the transition of making positive change in relation to health and wellbeing, social inclusion and independent living.

  • As a volunteer receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for our visitors and community members. You will help the Hub run smoothly by greeting people, managing basic enquiries, and supporting staff with simple admin tasks.

  • As a volunteer at the Connection Cafe, you’ll help keep a warm, friendly space where people feel welcome, included and comfortable. The cafe runs every Thursday morning from 9am-12pm, offering community members a chance to chat, relax and connect with others. Your role is about kindness, connection and helping people feel at home.

  • Volunteer Van Driver

    Location: Barrow & Kendal

    Hours: 7 hrs per Week on a Saturday

    Accountable to: Tenancy Sustainment Manager

    We are looking for a volunteer who can help assist our community members to take members to the Saturday hub in Lancaster. If you like variety and want to meet new people, this could be the role for you! Our community relies on our volunteers to keep them running successfully. But one thing that never changes is that we need volunteers to help us to spread the power of kindness.

    Duties include:

    • Saturday – Transporting residents to our hub in Lancaster and collection, returning to the hub in Morecambe.

      An opportunity to be part of The Well Communities CIC and the knowledge that you are making a positive difference to people’s lives.

    Requirements:

    ·         A clean driving licence and able to drive a 15-seater minibus.

    ·         Contribute to maintaining safe systems of work and a safe environment.
