The Well Communities (TWC) is welcoming a former health chief to join its team of Directors later in the year. Ian Treasure, who has recently led the successful WorkWell programme for the NHS Lancashire and South Cumbria Integrated Care Board (ICB) will take on his new role in November. Ian will have Director’s responsibilities for the new look The Well Communities, driving change, transformation and delivering an new ambitious strategy.
Ian is no stranger to The Well Communities, having previously led the successful Changing Futures Lancashire programme from 2021-2024 for which TWC (via Lancaster City Council) was a delivery partner. About the role, Ian said
“I am excited and privileged to be starting this role, overseeing a great team of people helping disadvantaged people in Lancashire, Westmorland and Furness and Cumberland. I have worked with some of the team before and know the fantastic work they do. It is a fabulous place to work. TWC is a great organisation with an excellent track record and I look forward to helping shape and deliver their strategy to help even more people.”
Ian has led several programmes focusing on systemic change for those experiencing multiple disadvantage and speaks highly of the potential for TWC to continue the great work it has become known for. He added
“The Well Communities HQ in Morecambe has had significant refurbishment to modernise the office and support space along with entirely new housing stock acquired for accommodating people as they seek to break their addition and transform their lives. It’s such a welcoming environment for people in desperate need of help. It’s a statement of the kindness and person centred care that is to follow.”

Ian also brings his own Lived Experience of multiple disadvantage, and is an ambassador for realising the potential of anyone to find excellence in themselves a core value of our organisation.”

Ian is currently leading the WorkWell programme across Lancashire and South Cumbria. He graduated from Manchester Business School with an M Sc in 2005 and is a member of the Association of Programme Managers. He is an experienced and qualified workplace Coach and an NLP Master Practitioner. More recently Ian has been working remotely with the Canadian State of Alberta advising on approaches to help Multi Barriered Individuals, and has delivered keynote speeches on this at several international conferences.
